Postdoctoral Research Associate
Azaria Cunningham, Ph.D., is an interdisciplinary teacher educator grounded in critical STEM education, currently serving as a postdoctoral research associate at Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development. More generally, her research examines the dynamic interplay between pre-service teachers and teacher educators' learning experiences within authentic environments, specifically through teacher-driven mechanisms such as real-time coaching, mentoring, and supervision practices. Dr. Cunningham’s research positions her to unpack mentoring as an act of Black love that can occur underground—outside of the grip of institutional structures.
